Beehives and Maintenance

Your own beehive, and support services customized for you.

Do you want a beehive at your own home? Who doesn’t love sitting near the hive and watching the bees do their magic! We have many support options so that you can become your own beekeeper, or only know that they are there because your flowers and gardens are thriving!

Hive Purchase (local bay area locations only): We will install your hive in the best location on your property (bees and initial hive box included).

Hive Pricing: $450. (The materials cost $400 and the installation fee is $50.) If you plan to tend to your own bees, we can send you a shopping cart of supplies or order them for you at cost (bee suit, hive tools, smoker, etc.).

Hive Maintenance: We will support your hive at the level that is best for you. To begin, we recommend monthly visits in which we check on your hive for overall health and treat any hive issues (sufficient food, sufficient brood, thriving queen, expansion or contraction demands, common threats (mites, hive beetles).

Maintenance Pricing: $50 per month. We can come and go without bothering you, but If you are looking to be trained as a beekeeper on the visits, we would be happy to provide expertise at no cost.
