Our local honey, hand-harvested and mailed seasonally.
Honey from our very own backyard hives, and those of our hive customers, will be sent out each season to our subscribers across the country. Honey production has three seasons – each produce wonderfully different flavors of honey. In the Spring, you can expect light floral honey, with a softer flavor. In the Summer honey deepens in flavor and color, and obtains hints of lavender. By Fall, the honey is deep, rich, intense and significantly darker in color. Bee hives need their honey through the winter to survive, so we do not harvest in that season. A small gift from Friendly Farms will arrive in your mailbox, however, to remind you to look forward to Spring, once again!
We are aware that organic home harvested honey can be purchased at a local farmers market for a price that is a bit cheaper than ours at Friendly Farms. But, please remember that 100% of our profits go to support the establishment of new hives, and the national fight for bee colony health. And, the honey from Friendly Farms arrives right at your door!
Pricing: $100/year. This includes three seasonal 8-10oz jars of honey elegantly packaged and shipped to your door, as well as a wintertime token of our appreciation. Each shipment will include a letter from Friendly Farms with details about your honey harvest, and updates on bee health.
